What an excellent blog and post. Yes, setting goals is the way to go…but having a plan to achieve them is vital.
I understand the analogy of the sailboat. It is certainly true about an aeroplane.
So we should be careful about charting our course, constantly checking that we are on track.
Will come again…as 2010 comes to a close, well in about three and a half months time, it will be good to reflect on what an effect your post had on others.

yes ‘a yourney of a thousand miles begins with one simple step’.
Setting goals is obviously important since it helps us to know where we want to go.
Do we want the goals, because we want them? If so do they feel good? Do they makes us feel excited and ready to jump out of bed in the morning? If not, maybe it is time to look at them and explore why we want them,or if we really do.
Maybe you are adressing these questions already in your posts on goals. ???

I really liked your post ~ it was very concise & baby stepping toward your goals is huge! You have to have a plan, and as you state, you have to work your plan…every single day. When you get busy with a plan, you have less time to think about what’s going on out there in the world & before you know it, with all your hard word & planning, you have made it to a place that maybe you before didn’t believe you could. Wow! And to think it all starts with that single step
