SO well said. I recently spent a couple days REALLY digging into WordPress and fell in love with it! The platform is amazing!

I took my blog from brand new in September to a page one ranking on google in 4 months and it was NOT because I spent a lot of time on SEO! That spoke volumes to me!

I may be late commenting on this post, but it’s always nice to have independent corroboration. I am getting ready to migrate my blog from .com to .org and it is fabulous to read more articles about the advantages of the switch. I have so many add-ons that I want to use that I can’t wait to start.

Hey Debbie!

This is such important information for anyone looking for a blogging platform. I’ve been building blogs for other online marketers, and one of the things I’m seeing over and over is people who have existing blogs that are not functional. After investing all the time and expense of creating their blogs they learn after the fact that they really need a Wordpress blog – and are faced with the need to re-invest to create a site that will work for them.

I know your post specifies that wordpress.org is the platform to use, but I think it deserves extra emphasis. Visitors may be confused by the fact that there is a wordpress.org and a wordpress.com. Wordpress.org is definitely the one they want
