great post debbie. i am “Gen Y” and followed in my parent’s footsteps by getting a degree and going to work for a corporation. after 6 mos i thought “This is BS!”. you said Gen Y is financially savvy and knows what we want. B I N G O. i was never going to have financial freedom at my old company. that’s why i found MLM, and i LOVe working with other Gen Y peeps in my biz. great money, time freedom, and TONS of fun!

I was recently at our companies Nartional Event and one of the Keynote speakers was hammering this exact point home. this is the future of our business. This generation walks, talks, and looks different that we do. Do we ignore them? No. We embrace them. If you think about it, they hold the keys to our retirement in their hands. They will work to build their fortune and as a result we stand to benefit from it.

Gen Y is WAY ahead of us, hands down. My kids can run circles around me and in certain respects they’ve become the teacher and I’m the student. It is well worth the work, though.

You are right on target with this one. The younger generation grew up with this stuff so the learning curve is easy for them. Case in point. I’ve really be impressed with Matthew Neer and Chris Hughes! To young entrepreneurs that really know what they are doing. That’s why it is great to have people like them and others in our core group.

Hey Deb…aint that the truth! These “kids” are rocking it and knocking it out of the park. Old Fogies (not so much) like myself are learning their tricks though because they are so willing to teach and I am more than willing to learn from them.
