I think growing up he was so much a part of the overall excitement for me that I couldn't ever give him up completely. My family has ALWAYS known and kept the real meaning of Christmas, but Santa was the fun part. I don't think anyone's way is wrong at all. Like I said, it's what makes you happy that counts. I appreciate hearing about other people's takes on Christmas and the things surrounding it. In our family Santa is simply a non-issue. We love the shows etc....but never have Santa as an actual part of the Christmas celebration. We talk about Santa in fun…I couldn't tell you if our youngest boys believe there is a real Santa Clause or not. They know he doesn't bring gifts to them but he is not put in a negative light at all either in our family. Anyhow…thanks for sharing a bit of your life with us.
